A New Goal

I have been battling mild depression again lately. The other day I was really in the dumps so to pull myself out, I made a list of everything I need to do and a few things I should be doing. One of them was to get outside every day doing something. Whether a short walk or a trip to a store or a park – anything – just so long as I’m getting out of the house to get some fresh air. The last two weeks have been busy with a lot of running around but that is actually a good thing for me as luck would have it. Whenever one of my kids and I have a shopping day out it really helps my mental health. Am I tired at the end of the day? Sure. But almost always I get back home feeling better.
Today was just a trip to the hairdresser for one of my kiddos and a tiny trip to Ulta and it was fun. That said, I did pick up a couple of things that really made me happy so that was probably part of it too. :D Still, it’s time out to do something besides housework and get away even if it’s just 30 minutes. SO, that’s a new goal for me – to get outside/away every day if I can. My minimum should be 3 days at least but I’m aiming for all 7. My mental health is worth it.
