Where oh where has my energy gone
January 4, 2012
In my nasty head cold – that’s where. I started to get a cold on Saturday and by Sunday it was much worse so I haven’t done much the last few days. Now, Monday was better and so was yesterday, but I still rested from time to time. Well, not much yesterday since we started school again. ‘Twas quite a busy day! But it was a good day – things got done and I felt pretty good. Then I woke up this morning with my head all stuffed up and an ear partially stuffed up – fun times no?
So, I’m up early and will hopefully get to watch an episode or two of My So-Called Life – remember that one from the 90’s? It was a really great show that I secretly liked because, after all, I was already 30 years old and why on earth would I be watching it when it seemed to be geared to teens? Now that I look back on it, it wasn’t just geared to teens but also their parents and it was written and produced by the same people who did thirtysomething – that meant drawing the audience in and also making them think. I liked that and after thirtysomething left the air, I could not find anything else that I liked so I didn’t watch much tv after that. We started homeschooling shortly after that and the tv really went by the wayside. So here I am back to So-Called Life and watching it without guilt. There was a song in the last episode – Dreams by The Cranberries – and it set off a whole chain reaction for me. It was like getting sucked into a time warp and going back to the past and I really started thinking about so many different aspects of my life back then. Back then being both in school and also what was going on in my life when this show was airing. BTW – I liked that song too :-). BUT, I think I’ll save all that for another post – or my journal at the very least.
What happened to the 12 Days of Christmas you might well ask? The cold happened that’s what. Oh, and I lost the SD card too, but need to ask Chris where it is and get caught up or at least finish it. But I am in good company, because the Bob and Doug MacKenzie 12 Days of Christmas song didn’t get through all 12 days either. I’m just trendy that way.

I thought maybe you couldn't think of anything for that fifth day of Christmas. Sickness is a far better excuse :P

Actually, it would be FIVE DVD's! Even though we got more than five but the others were sets. Still, I should take the pictures and set it up. I dunno. Maybe I should quit promising more than I can deliver? I tend to do that alot, but maybe that should be a post. I dunno. Feeling better each day though.
