The Oh Crap! Moment…

…that wasn’t really an Oh Crap! moment. Even though I got up early today I probably spent too much time online which means I might as well have gotten up late :-/. I remembered that my mom is coming over this morning so I’d better get going for the day. So, all that is going well and I go downstairs and start picking up when I look up at the clock and realize, OH CRAP!! It’s almost 8 and Chris needs to be to work at 8 and Matt didn’t take him to work so I’ll need to do that!!!! Joe runs upstairs to go wake Chris up and I remember, Oh, wait a minute – Chris has today OFF. “Joe? Never mind – he’s off work today”. Joe comes downstairs and laughs. I’m not laughing – I need a vacation people! *sigh*

I am an unperfect mom to 8 great kids: 5 boys and 3 girls (and I had them in that order too).
I have been married for either 39 really long or really short years depending on how my day is going.
Even though I have homeschooled my children for the last 30 years, I am certainly no supermom - unless you count the days I have to rescue my daughters from a moth in their room.
I love coffee, chocolate, and music from the 80's. I enjoy reading books, chick flicks, and thirtysomething.

Nearly every Wednesday, I awaken thinking it is a day that JP has class early. Every week, I figure it is his issue to get himself going. Every week at 8:30, I consider awakening him and asking if he had to leave at 8:30. Every week about 8:31, I remember it is Weds & not Tuesday or Thursday so the boy keeps sleeping! :)

LOL - Oh, Joyce, I can SO relate to that!! BTW - my son had to knock on my door this morning to make sure I was up in time to take him to work. Maybe in time we'll get used to the new schedules :-).
